in the life of a child!

The support that we receive from our tournament will help send youth from all over Santa Barbara County to camp this summer at Camp Whittier. We would like to thank everyone for their help & support over the years. We are hoping for another successful tournament in 2012.

Camp Whittier serves all four Boys and Girls Clubs in Santa Barbara County as well as numerous other youth organizations. With your help, deserving boys and girls are treated to a positive outdoor experience of hiking, archery, swimming, fishing, ropes course, and nature lore. A GREAT DAY AT CAMP WHITTIER!

For the past 13 years, Sunrise Rotarians have rolled up their sleeves and picked up chain saws, wood chippers, and paint brushes to improve Camp Whittier. The club has participated in hands-on projects such as pool area improvements, new fencing, painting, electrical wiring, tree trimming, landscaping, road maintenance and more!

This year, 40 Sunrise Rotarians, their friends and family members gathered on Saturday, May 8th to construct a performance deck off of one of the buildings, which will double as the entry steps and landing for the building and install hillside landscaping with trees, shrubs, steps, and irrigation. The day was filled with sawing, hammering, cementing, painting, digging, gluing, planting, trenching, measuring, leveling, sweating, building and beautifying, and of course lots of laughing, smiling, talking, eating, and just plain enjoying.

We wish to acknowledge the special efforts of the following individuals and businesses for their extraordinary support for this project.
